Tesco
Ireland are promoting greyhound/horse racing through part of their
'Clubcard Deals'. According to the Tesco Ireland website, customers
can exchange their clubcard vouchers for leisure tokens which
can be used towards going to 'A night at the dogs'. Tesco
Ireland describes this in the following way "For a great
night out with a difference why not try a night at the dogs."
They are also promoting horse racing.
These promotions are totally
unacceptable and Tesco Ireland needs to be informed as to why
these promotions are in such bad taste
.help us stop the
promotion and get an assurance it will not be repeated.
Please be polite because
people are more likely to listen.
WE NEED TO STOP GREYHOUND RACING PROMOTIONS
AS THEY ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE CONTINUING ABUSE OF THOUSANDS
OF DOGS WHO ARE DRUGGED, INJURED, MUTILATED AND KILLED BY THE
INDUSTRY WORLDWIDE, ESPECIALLY IRELAND AND THE UK.
