It would appear that the comments
under are the standard bog reply of verbal illusory from Amanda
Bringans, Director of Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Care. This
is her response to SAFE and others, regarding Macmillan charity
fundraising nights at Greyhound tracks - the most recent being
held to-night - Saturday 11 July at Wimbledon.
It beggars belief that Ms. Bringans can actually ‘consider’
that Macmillan can hide behind the Fundraising Standards Board
(FRSB), when moral decisions such as these can be made as an organisation's
"policy". Take a second look at who the CEO is of the
Fundraising Standards Board (as below)!!!!!!!!!! Could this be
the very same Alistair McLean who is Chief Executive of the NGRC
??????????
You may wish to include this video link when contacting Ms.Bringans
- http://greytexploitations.com:80/resources-and-reports/dying-to-entertain-you
- which graphically shows the shocking stomach churning accidents
as these dogs race at various tracks, including WIMBLEDON track
the fund raiser for to-night - as Ms. Bringans 'believes' that
... "the tracks where Macmillan events are held are well
established venues with stringent animal welfare guidelines".

Dear
Thank you for your email dated
9th July regarding the Greyhound Fundraising event to be held
by Dave Wood at the Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium. I respect your
personal views on greyhound racing and please be assured that
your comments will be taken into consideration when planning future
fundraising events.
I have spoken with Alistair McLean,
CEO at the Fundraising Standards Boards (FRSB),which monitor standards
in Fundraising in the UK. As a result of my conversation with
the FRSB, we remain satisfied that Greyhound racing is a legal
sport, and believe the tracks where the events in support of Macmillan
are held are well established venues with stringent animal welfare
guidelines and Retired greyhound schemes. Our ethics committee
at Macmillan has also considered the issue of greyhound racing
and has made the decision to accept donations from this activity.
As you understand these events
are organised by local volunteers and we are bound by law to accept
money generated by legal activities unless in direct contravention
of charitable objectives (e.g. tobacco companies). The support
we receive from such volunteers is absolutely vital in order for
us to continue developing services to meet the needs of people
affected by cancer. This is of paramount importance with two million
people now living with cancer, and our increasing range of services
(including Macmillan nurses, doctors, health and social care professionals,
cancer information, and financial assistance) being funded entirely
through the generosity of our supporters..
Should you wish to take this further
please direct future correspondence to Kory McLeod, Complaints
Handling Coordinator, at the FRSB. The address at the FRSB is
as follows;
