south west, who have come together to close down the last two
tracks in the area.

campaign to close it.

Coalition
set up to close Swindon track:
|
Following successful efforts to close the dog tracks at Newton Abbot
and Glastonbury, local Greyhound Action branches in South-West England
have formed a coalition to make the whole region a no-go zone for
greyhound racing.
South Devon Greyhound Action, Avon & Somerset Greyhound Action,
Wiltshire Greyhound Action and our recently-formed Dorset branch
have set up South West Action for Greyhounds (SWAG) to campaign
for the closure of the two remaining south-west tracks, with the
first target being Swindon.
We are calling on all Greyhound Action supporters in the south-west
of England to get behind the SWAG campaign. If you can help in any
way, please contact SWAG at swagreyhounds@yahoo.co.uk
or on 07968 857702.

Can
you help a Glastonbury dog?
|
After the recent closure of the Glastonbury track a number of
greyhounds were "disposed of" by trainers and SWAG supporters
have been working with greyhound rescue groups in the area to
care for and rehome these dogs.
Funds are urgently needed to help these greyhounds and to assist
the SWAG campaign in general. Please help with a donation, if
you possibly can.
|
Cheques/POs
should be made payable to S.W.A.G. and sent to:
South West Action for Greyhounds,
Box 53,
82 Colston St,
Bristol,
BS1 5BB.
If you would prefer to donate by standing order or cash
transfer, please contact SWAG.
Please also get in touch with
SWAG if you can offer a loving home to any of the rescued
Glastonbury dogs.
